I’m going to like this. Today I made my first GoPro time lapse movie. I got the camera as an incentive from Vimeo for renewing my Pro account. Mine isn’t as exciting as theirs, but give me a few minutes to find something to jump off of.
I used the default .5″ interval. That was probably too short for this, but you gotta start somewhere. I learned the camera creates new folders at every 1,000 snaps, and you have to assemble them yourself into a time lapse.
Luckily GoPro has a super easy free video editor called CineForm Studio to assemble the images (it’s like they thought of everything!). But you can’t attach multiple clips to each other.
So I exported each of the four individual clips, then pushed those to DropBox, downloaded to my phone, imported to iMovie, assembled clips together, added audio (thanks Joy Division), and exported that to Vimeo. So… more than one step. But. Awesome. I’m excited.
