Art Relish documents visual art and artists around Atlanta by providing first-person artist interviews, news, reviews and event coverage along with a comprehensive calendar and gallery directory of Atlanta’s thriving and diverse art scene.
I launched Art Relish in September 2007 with Brett Osborn. Brett moved on and I’ve operated the site on my own since early 2009. In 2010, Creative Loafing profiled me in “Know your bloggers: Art Relish’s Jason Parker.” I occasionally contribute as a “Culture Scout” to Scoutmob with previews of upcoming art events around Atlanta, and in 2011 Art Relish is partnering with Atlanta Celebrates Photography for more extensive coverage of the annual photography festival.
Art Relish take a comprehensive strategic outlook in allowing its audience to choose when, where and how they view the site and its content. In addition to fully capable online and mobile version, videos are distributed in a variety of formats for multiple channels, including YouTube, Vimeo and Blip.tv. Art Relish videos are also available on Roku set top boxes, Sony’s Bravia Internet Video Link and in Apple’s iTunes Store.
I create and manage the entire life cycle of Art Relish, from design and publishing to marketing, monetization and video production.
Art Relish was recently included in the Foundation Center’s Philanthropy Front and Center list of best blogs for art nonprofits.
